This is a small segment of a METEOR 2-21 image of the southwest in mid-February. The central feature in this subset is the Baja Peninsula and the Sea Cortez (Gulf of California). Angel and Tiburon Islands show up nicely in the Gulf as does the variegated surface of the delta of the Colorado River, which empties into the northern end of the Gulf. To the north, the Central Valley of California is highlighted by its lack of cloud cover.
