Jim and I go way back on ATV and, over the years we have done some SSTV on 70 cm FM. Given the short distance between us, the 2 meter SSB signal produces essentially perfect images.

Digital Images

Although our path is essentially noise-free, Jim has joined in experimenting with digital transmission. He loves to shoot wildlife images with his digital camera and this is a nice example featuring a pair of hummingbirds.

Although Jim and I don't "need" the noise-free capability of digital transmission, he does have a much better antenna and thus can relay pictures that I have trouble receiving.
