Our group started out very modestly, but now has over 20 stations, 8-12 of which will typically check into the net each time. So far, coverage includes western Ohio, northern Indiana, lower Michigan, northeastern Illinois, and southeastern Wisconsin. In addition to the formal net meeting, the frequency is typically active most evenings with smaller groups of stations. If you are active on 144 MHz SSB but are not sure about how to get on SSTV, it couldn't be simpler. All you need is a computer, a soundcard, and some free software. Check in on 144.175 and we will point you in the right direction!
All of the stations in the group are set up for analog
SSTV and the Saturday net provides the opportunity to exchange conventional
SSTV images. To give everybody the opportunity to be as creative as possible,
we are going to use an informal theme for the pictures each week. The theme
for next week is:
If you have missed a few sessions and can't check the website, don't worry. We will gladly receive pictures on any theme so don't hesitate to drop by.
The Wednesday net is intended as an opportunity to focus on the exchange of digital DDTV (DSSTV) images. Don't know anything about DSSTV? Well use the link to download a PDF version of my QST Digital SSTV Article. If you hear us on and aren't set up for digital yet, we would be happy to exchange information and yes, we will happily exchange conventional SSTV pictures as well!
