MAIN WHEEL

This photograph shows the details of the main wheel assembly, including the aluminum saddles and brackets. The aluminum axles for the Brock KB-2 wheels are inserted in the 1/8 inch walled axle strut and retained by the bolts securing the saddle blocks and brackets.

Note that this photo shows the original tubular drag struts - a simple tube drilled at both ends for the bracket bolts. Current drawings show a chromoly tube with Heim rod ends - much better to handle the flexing of the drag strut when the main gear shock mount is flexing under load!
