October 1998
An In-Progress page was added to highlight pictures and web pages of Gyrobee builders
The Completions page was edited so that it now is devoted entirely to aircraft that are now flying. Jim Field's HoneyBee is now posted on this page.
Both of the pages above can also be accessed from the Builders Corner, which was updated to include GyroTech as a kits/components supplier and a new .PDF file package that documents the LEAF dynafocal engine mount, which is no longer available.
The Technical Side page was updated with a new link on taking photos from your gyro.
The HoneyBee page was up-dated with some flying photos and linked to the Gyrobee Home Page.
Bees Invade Fowlerville page was added, describing some neat cross-country adventures with both the HoneyBee and Gyrobee. This page was also linked to the HoneyBee and Summer 1998 Events pages.
The Gyrobee Documentation page has been completely revised. The main documentation file has been reduced from 4.6 megabytes to just 2.4 megabytes, which means the file will download in about half the time! A .ZIP version of the new file is also available, which can let you avoid the hassle of having Acrobat running during the file download. In addition to being smaller, the new file also contains a two-page insert on the LEAF dynafocal engine mount, which is no longer available. Minor text revisions add Aerotec as a supplier and the availability of the HoneyBee gyro kit.
The Revisions page has been updated to permit you do download the text revisions on the new version. The text is in WORD format, which makes for a fast download, after which you can print the file with your word processor (not Acrobat). You can also download the dynafocal mount documentation (2-pages) in .PDF format.
